re:create Nashville 2012 will begin with an all-new elective feature that proved a huge hit at re:create ATX this past October. Plan to arrive at re:create early and from 10am-1pm on Monday, Feb. 6, Vince Marotte, Internet Pastor at Gateway Church in Austin, will lead a “Collab Crawl.”

The participants of the “Collab Crawl” will meet at Merridees in Franklin at 10am and provide ideas they would like to brainstorm (i.e. upcoming series, best new apps, etc.—the sky’s the limit for ideas). The group will prioritize the prospective ideas based on interest and then the fun begins. All the ideas of the morning from each participant (because all of us are smarter than one of us) will be recorded on a group wiki, and the venue will change each hour. At 11am the group will “crawl” to McCreary’s Pub, then at noon to 55 South or Puckett’s Grocery, you get the idea.

At 3:00pm, Susan Fontaine Godwin will lead an elective workshop on “Copyrights & The Creative Process.” Susan is the founder of Christian Copyright Solutions and is an expert on copyright issues. It is a very important issue for us all and one we ignore at our own peril.

Your conference registration fee covers all the costs for the electives.

At 4pm—6pm we will pick up your one-of-a-kind registration pak and gather for a meet and greet in the vibey Aloft Hotel lobby and bar. Also, everyone who registered early will have an awesome gift pak awaiting them. Artists, representatives from our partners and other fun creatives from Nashville will join us for this always popular time. Look for a few trademark re:create surprises during this time.

We will then gather, have dinner and spend time getting to know each other even better at the unique Bunganut Pig Pub (a favorite from last year), then walk a couple of blocks to the newly restored ($8 million) Franklin Theatre, where we will be hosted by Food For The Hungry. Dave Evans, the U.S. President, and his team will briefly introduce us to FFH and also give us a debut showing of the powerful and inspiring movie, “58:”

Tuesday morning we will gather at GracePointe Church in Franklin, TN for a day filled with refreshment, encouragement and diffusion of ideas. Melissa Greene will serve as our experience director for the week and Vince Marotte will act as the Tuesday moderator. First up will be the Canadian band Starfield leading us in worship by debuting their new all-new album as Jesus Painter Mike Lewis paints.

Then the tireless and ever young Tim Sanders will speak. Tim’s business expertise and deep research capabilities make him an indispensable consultant to some of the biggest brands in the world. He speaks for strong business relationships, both internal and external. “Get them right,” he says, “and you’ll grow your business during good and bad times alike.” His relevant point of view and reputation as a people expert makes him one of the most in demand keynote speakers on the conference and convention circuit. Tim served as the Chief Solutions Officer at Yahoo! and later as their Leadership Coach.

Prior to these senior positions Tim created and led the Yahoo! ValueLab, an in-house “think tank” which delivered futuristic insight on technology and human behavior. He was also an early member of Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner’s broadcast.com, the most successful opening day IPO in history.

We then divide into three groups based on our church/business size and discuss Tim’s talk. Tim will personally join each group for 20 minutes to answer questions and dialogue.

Lunch will then happen with the usual suspects and special guests that seem to magically appear to casually chat at your table. As always, the meals are uninterrupted times to collaborate and diffuse ideas with your peers from around the world.

At 2:00, an incredible surprise concert looks to materialize. Get ready to rock with one of the most successful and popular new bands in recent memory.

At 3:30 we again travel a few minutes to Main Street Franklin and historic St. Paul’s Episcopal. This storied church served as a Civil War hospital and is the mother church of the Tennessee Episcopal diocese. Be sure to check out the priceless stained glass windows designed by Tiffany. Father Bob Cowperthwaite and his team will lead us in Holy Eucharist.

From 5:30-9pm we have an incredible time planned for you to get in touch with your inner painter. Mike Lewis (The Jesus Painter) will lead us in an interactive artistic experience called Mosaic. All of us will have an opportunity to get paint in our fingernails and together we will create a stunning artistic painting.

As always, there is the usual unofficial partying afterwards.

On Wednesday, Carlton Dillard, Pastor of Creative Arts at Riverbend Church, Austin will serve as moderator, and artist/entrepreneur Derek Webb will do a concert and/or worship. Following Derek’s music, he will have a short interview about his life, philosophy, career and the amazing success story of his Internet record label Noisetrade.

The next session features Kyle Nelson, CEO & Founder of LaunchFish, a social media marketing agency that develops a complete social media ecosystem that builds your brand, connects with your audience and keeps track of your industry! They create, manage and monitor your entire social media presence to keep you afloat in the ever-changing sea of online marketing! Kyle’s talk will be followed by the usual personal, intimate dialogue and Q & A with Kyle in our three groups.

We will then break for an amazing lunch provided by Whole Foods and lots of hangtime with fellow creatives.

The next session features Vince Marotte interviewing former Senior Director of Broadcast Services of Yahoo.com, Rick Jackson. This interview was one of the most popular sessions at re:create ATX One Day this past October, so we asked him to fly in from Dallas and join us in Nashville.

Rick has over 20 years of expertise building and deploying top-tier sales teams for software, services, and global media companies. He’s led e-commerce, reseller, and managed services routes to market from 2006 to 2011 for McAfee. At Broadcast.com, his sales teams built one of the largest webcasting services business in the world. As director of sales at Westcott Communications, Jackson’s teams built one of the world’s first global, satellite-based distance learning networks that enabled employees to attend live courses taught by Harvard University, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill professors for a fraction of the cost while providing a virtual classroom experience beamed to company locations around the world.

Rick is now Sr. V.P. of Sales & Distribution for one of our 2012 partners Cinsay.com

The afternoon features some of the most amazing songwriters in the business. Next up, we have two awesome surprises! Consecutive mini-concerts and worship with Grammy nominated singer/songwriter/recording artist Kim Hill & singer/songwriter/recording artist/minister Mark Roach. We will have a quick break for the trade show booths and restroom and then the stage will be filled with more songwriters for a true Nashville experience. A songwriters in the round session.

The final session of the afternoon features media guru and CEO of Audio Ethics Global Media as he introduces us to his amazing new book that features none other than re:create, well, and of course, much more. Donnie Haulk will also fill us in on the latest innovations in the world of audio/video/lighting and production.

We will then carpool to downtown inner city Nashville and experience one of the most unique “church” services of your life. Ramy (and wife Tiffany) Antoun, Artist-in-Residence/Pastor at Gateway Church in Austin, and former drummer for artists such as Seal & Ed Kowalczyk of the band “Live” will immerse us in their “Just Love” service they conducted in downtown Austin this past summer. It is a gathering of innovators with a desire to serve the city through art, wisdom, service, food, & community. Brad O’Donnell, Vice President of A&R for the EMI CMG label group, is helping us collaborate with a Nashville inner city pastor and church for the evening. It promises to be a life-changing, life altering experience.

On Thursday morning, Julie Arnold, Service Programming Multicampus Director for North Point Community Church, will serve as our moderator for the day. Derek Webb returns for a time of music and arts and then million-selling author Philip Yancey, (What’s So Amazing About Grace, A Skeptic’s Guide To Faith) and many more (HERE is a partial collection of his books), will speak to us on “Dispensing Grace to a Thirsty World.” We will then break into our groups and have personal interaction, dialogue and Q & A with Philip. Few Christians have had the voice of grace and influence that Philip Yancey has earned.

We’ll have an awesome lunch and then another huge surprise! re:create celebrates all artistic genres and this afternoon we celebrate dance. “The Story Collective” will present excerpts of an original production “The Dollhouse.” The Story Collective gathers artists to use creativity to inspire others to take personal action against Human Trafficking. They do this by: Raising up young artists to be socially responsible, producing creative events that engage the community in the issue of Human Trafficking, supporting organizations involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of victims, and telling the stories of rescue and redemption through various art forms.

We will then have a session with information about re:create ATX, the always popular 2012 re:create DVD, the future and more.

Then, a big honkin’ trademark re:create surprise. Just wait!!!

The grand finale will feature an aesthetically delightful evening of food and music with Provident Label Group and Essential Worship. One needs only to peruse the Provident Label Group link to imagine which of their amazing roster of artists will make an appearance. But one thing we do know is that producer extraordinaire, Jason Ingram, Stu G., formerly of delirious, and drummer producer Paul Mabury of One Sonic Society will be there.

Whew! What fun! What refreshment! What encouragement! What a plethora of ideas to diffuse around the globe!

It’s not too late to register. Register HERE and join us!

Jackson recently joined emerging eCommerce software development and deployment firm Cinsay, Inc. as SVP Global Sales and Distribution, it was announced today by Christian Briggs, Cinsay, Inc. President and CEO. Jackson will head all sales and distribution for the company, and is assembling a sales team that will undertake widespread deployment of the unique Cinsay portable video technology during the fourth quarter of 2011.

“After an exhaustive search for the right individual to lead the roll out of our game-changing technology, we are thrilled to announce that Rick has joined our team,” said Briggs. “His track record speaks volumes about the wealth of technology distribution success he brings to Cinsay, and we could not have asked for a better leader. What we have is truly remarkable, and requires someone with Rick’s depth of vision and extensive network to successfully bring it to market. With Rick leading the charge, we are now poised to change the way business is done online.”

With 20+ years experience in the deployment of world-class sales teams to create new markets for subscription services aimed at the consumer, SMB and enterprise segments, Jackson comes to Cinsay, Inc. from computer security giant McAfee where, over the past five years, he oversaw the company’s SMB segment for direct and channel routes to market. Key partners included Dell, Softlayer, CDW, SonicWall, iYogi, Cox Communications and HP. Notably, McAfee was recently purchased by Intel for $7.8 billion.

Prior to McAfee, Jackson headed teams that successfully created new markets in the selling and delivery of global platform services for satellite and Internet broadcasting companies, including Broadcast.com and Westcott Communications. Broadcast.com was sold to Yahoo! for more than $5 billion in 1999, and Westcott Communications was purchased by Kill in 1996 for $550 million.
