1. I love the focused time of building relationships within our campus programming directors.
2. The ability to check out of evaluation mode and just enjoy the worship, the talks, and the fun.
3. Inspiring. Authentic. Challenging.
4. Introduces new gifted artists and new technology/social media to us. I twittered before any of the hot rods at our church. Ok – maybe not Carlos Whittaker.
5. Being with like minded people – and connecting with them.

Why I Attend…

After attending most of the “big” conferences that are out there, cre:ate is the only one I go to now. After 20+ years in ministry, I don’t really need to know how to direct my choir, rehearse my team, use MediaShout, or talk about blended worship. I get the publisher’s preview packs, so music listening sessions don’t give me a great cost benefit, either.

However, cre:ate is an experience that keeps delivering year after year as a conference. The keynote speakers, the face time with vendors and publishers, and the relationship building and networking that happens with other conferees makes this conference a must-attend for me every year. In fact, when the budget is tight, it is the only conference I attend.
