1- The tribal nature of recreate means long term and meaningful relationships with fellow creative leaders. So, the people and conversations at meals and experiences leave me taking away a wealth of support, influence and inspiration. I make real friends and it’s the one week a year I feel not so alone in what I do.

2- The musical and food experiences such as Gungor and unique food stimulates my own personal creativity. Some have been over the top and mind blowing.

3- Randy himself is a reason I attend. He knows what people like me in ministry face and works to make the conference relevant and significant.

4- Worship times that stretch and give those of us on stage or designers of worship a chance to be led and led well. Matt Maher and Audrey Assad were perfect examples of this as was Ian Cron.

5 – The future is at recreate. I feel I am with a group of early adopters who are ready to embrace change. We were Twitter before it was cool.

1. Not your typical conference. Very much “outside the box”
2. Great to interact with such a wide variety of people from churches all over the country. The networking alone with the other attendees is priceless.
3. Randy’s (founder and moderator) church experience is invaluable. He knows we need down time…he doesn’t ask us to do anything but show up
4. Challenging talks from people who are not main stream conference speakers.
5. You never know what may happen, or who may show up from the music business…surprises are always fun.
6. This one is free. Building a relationship with Randy to the point of spending a day with him to “talk” has been a life changing thing for me…both spiritually and personally…and of course his precious wife Chris.

1. I love the focused time of building relationships within our campus programming directors.
